Lessons

We offer instruction in bass, cello, drums, guitar, piano, violin, viola, ukulele, and voice.

When you are ready to start lessons, we’ll set you up with a consultation with a faculty member. At this meeting, you (or you and your child) will meet the teacher, learn about their approach to teaching, and discuss your musical interests and goals. Request a free consultation here.

Lessons are usually taken weekly, but can meet on other schedules with the consent of your teacher. We are open year-round, closing during typical school and national holidays. You can find our calendar here.

We regularly offer coached ensembles, guest artist workshops, and other group classes. See what’s coming up here.

We host two student recitals during the year, in December and June. Performance is encouraged, but not required! Watch videos from past recitals here.

Financial Aid Program

What is financial aid?
We offer financial aid to students who have a sincere desire to learn but who may not have enough income to pay for all or part of the regular lesson fees.

Do I qualify for financial aid?
We evaluate financial need based on the student’s household income as shown on the first page of the student’s (or head of household’s) most recently filed IRS Form 1040 and other information.  In addition to income, we may consider factors such as a reference from a qualified music teacher or other evidence of musical interest and ability when assessing new students.

If qualified, am I guaranteed financial aid?
We depend upon contributions from individuals and organizations to provide financial assistance and therefore cannot guarantee aid to all applicants.  To receive aid, you must first submit a written application.

How can I use financial aid?
Financial aid may be used for either private lessons or a class. A second lesson or class may not be taken in the same session.

What else should I know?
Students receiving financial aid must sign the standard Student Agreement and follow all policies of the school.

How long does it take?
We will contact you within two weeks to let you know whether you qualify and if so, at what level and whether we have immediate aid available for you.

How do I apply?
Click to fill out the application form. At the end of the form, you will be asked to upload documents relevant to your application.
